The Grand Traverse Sheriff's Office reports they have solved the stolen donation jar from 7-11 on Barlow Street in Traverse City.

Police say they have identified two men related to the case by using tips reported from members of the community.

One man, Tate Andrews has been charged with larceny in a building, retail fraud, and being a habitual offender.

The other man, Blaine Castle, has been arrested. Police say Castle had warrants out for his arrest for drug charges related to cocaine, heroin and marijuana by the Traverse Narcotics Team.

The donation jar for the Meals on Wheels program was stolen by a group of thieves in January.

Then Sunday, February 1st, the same group of people came back into the store, and made off with lottery tickets and money from a new Meals on Wheels jar.

Still not satisfied, they came back again early Monday morning and cut the tether keeping the new jar in place to steal it.

Store clerks say each time, a member of the group distracts them while the others do the stealing.
