The Coast Guard is warning ice fishermen and others about some ice-breaking operations.

The Coast Guard says it is working on Pere Marquette Lake. The operation will last from February 18 through February 22.

The research vessel Sikuliaq is scheduled to transit multiple times to Ludington's Occidental Chemical Facility. The Sikuliaq has ice-breaking capabilities.

The Coast Guard is asking all ice fishermen to remove their shanties from the area, and avoid the ice during the operations.
