FAA Performing Routine Check On TVC Equipment

Posted: Updated:

Cherry Capitol Airport temporarily stopped using an instrument that helps land flights there.

The FAA planned on doing a routine check on the glide slope aspect of the instrument landing system.

The ILS is the main guide pilots have to land at the airport.

The decommissioned part called the glide slope may cause flight cancellations during bad weather, however this has not yet been the case.
