Posted: Updated:

Firefighters dealt with cold conditions and an unruly person when fighting flames at a home in Alpena.

Crews were called to the home on Miller Street after someone from the bakery next door spotted smoke.

Firefighters were able to find hot spots on two floors using a new Thermal Imaging Camera.

No one was home at the time, one cat was rescued but another died in the fire.

Police helped firefighters deal with the unruly person who came to the scene after seeing pictures posted on social media.

The home has heavy smoke and water damage, but is not a loss.
