Multiple Flights Canceled Out Of Cherry Capital Airport

Posted: Updated:
January 2, 2014 -

Several flights in and out of Cherry Capital Airport have been canceled - and it's all thanks to the intensity and the type of snow that keeps falling in Chicago.

United and American Airlines have canceled several flights between O'Hare International Airport in Chicago and Cherry Capital because of blizzard and winter storm warnings in effect for much of the Northeast.

As the airlines scramble to re-route travelers and avoid one of the biggest airport hubs in the country, passengers are left in limbo.

Cherry Capital Management estimates between 400 and 500 people have been affected.

9&10's Marisa McKay and photojournalist Jeremy Erickson spoke to TVC's director to learn how Traverse City is staying informed with the changing flight plans, and also heard from travelers who are finding themselves with new travel plans thanks to Mother Nature.

Stay with 9&10 News on air and online for updates on these cancellations.
