Michigan Housing Market Is On The Mend - Northern Michigan's News Leader

Michigan Housing Market Is On The Mend

Posted: Updated:

If you're thinking of selling your home, now is the time.

According to Premier Realty in Cadillac, the housing market is on the mend; a welcome sight.

Especially because since 2006, home prices steadily dropped about 40%.

But in 2013, home prices stopped their decline, and there are far fewer foreclosures, making it a seller's market.

Owner of Premier Realty Jim Meier says, "stock prices are hitting all-time highs. Things are improving in this country. As people feel more secure with their jobs downstate, they're more likely to make investments in Northern Michigan."

Jim says come 2014, we should start to see a slight increase in home prices.
