Grand Traverse County Dealing With Massive Amounts of Snow

The recent weather has dropped lots of snow on many places across Northern Michigan, especially Grand Traverse County.

The Grand Traverse County Road Commission says they've seen more than 75 inches of snow so far this season across the county. That is up from nearly 20 inches the same time last year.

All that snow has kept the road commission extremely busy. They have been running 31 trucks during the day and six at night to stay on top of all the snow, and make sure the roads are safe.

The road commission says their budget is fine for this year, but if the snow keeps falling through the next few months, it could eat away money for summer projects.

Meantime, snow removal businesses like Denali Services in Traverse City are happy to be busy. The early snowfall helped them have a smooth transition from Fall to Winter and is keeping crews working non-stop.
