UPDATE: Evart Police Offering Reward For Information On Whoever Shot Out School Windows

Posted: Updated:

We have an update on a story we first brought you back in November.

Police have upped the reward for information that leads to the arrest of the person who shot at Evart Elementary School.

Evart City Police are now offering $1,000 for information in the case.

Police hope the public will help them find the person who shot out several windows at an elementary school.

The school says they are very thankful it happened while students were on Thanksgiving break, but still want to figure out who would commit such a destructive act.

Evart Police say someone used a shotgun to shoot out 4 classroom windows at the Evart Elementary School.

Evart Police Chief, Kendra Backing says a 410 shotgun was used to shoot out the windows, but they did find ammo to a 22-rifle on the ground. The chief believes someone had to have heard something.

The Evart Police Department wants to hear from anyone who may have information, call 231-734-5911.

They are still actively investigating the incident.
