Storm Damages Car, House in Mecosta County

Posted: Updated:

Everyone is cleaning up in Mecosta County after a strong storm blew through the area.

The storm created a major mess in the villages of Mecosta and Barryton.

According to those who live in the area, the winds were so strong they sounded like a truck or plane going through the community.

Tree trunks and branches were scattered everywhere across people's property when they woke up Monday morning. Some large trees took out cars, houses, garages, and destroyed landscaping.

Many residents in those areas also do not have power.

9&10's Breelynn Martin and Photojournalist Jacob Johnson visited those areas.
