THURSDAY: Power Companies Report Hundreds Without Power, Restored Soon

Posted: Updated:

A long line of wet and wild November weather has a lot of people cleaning up Monday morning.

Consumers Energy reports more than 200,000 lost power at some point during the storm. Tuesday, Consumers Energy is reporting about 11,800 customers are still without service. In Northern Michigan without power: Clare (150),  Midland (568).

Great Lakes Energy reports that 25 members are still without power in Crawford, Lake, Mason, Otsego, Kalkaska, and Emmet counties.

Cloverland Electric restored power to their members Tuesday.

Presque Isle Electric & Gas does not have an update Thursday. Tuesday evening, only 98 customers were without power. Crews found 5 broken poles that required extensive repairs.

Two of the hardest hit areas suffering power outages include Clare and Midland counties.

It's not fully clear when everyone will get their power back on, but Consumers says the majority should be back on late Wednesday, while harder hit areas may have to wait until Thursday.

We want to remind everyone to stay away from downed power lines and report them immediately.
