President. Obama Apologizes To Americans, Denies Misleading Public

Posted: Updated:

President Obama made his first personal apology to the millions of Americans who have lost their insurance because of the Affordable Care Act.

For years, President Obama has promised that no one would be forced off their insurance plan because of the healthcare law.

Right now, more than 3 million Americans have gotten cancellation letters, and Thursday President Obama apologized.

Insurance policies that didn't meet the standards of the healthcare law are no longer valid.

This means 15 million people will be forced to change their coverage.

And most people will have to pay 25% more.

The President says his administration wasn't as clear as it needed to be about healthcare reform.

He also denies claims he deliberately mislead Americans.
