MSP Has Tips For Driving Safely This Snowy Season

Posted: Updated:

The weather will continue to affect your commute over the next few days.

Michigan State Police want to remind drivers to stay aware of changing weather conditions.

Also, they suggest leaving a little earlier when weather isn't the best, leaving enough room between you and other drivers, and to driving at a safe speed to maintain control of your car.

When you hit black ice, slow your speed, take your foot off the gas, and coast through the black ice while maintaining control of your car.

MSP also reminds drivers to carry blankets, shovels, and sand during the winter months in case you need it.
