Michigan Public Schools Could Be Required To Have EpiPens On Campus

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- All public schools in Michigan are one step closer to being required to have EpiPens available to students.

Legislators in the House voted Wednesday requiring schools to have EpiPens. This measure and another bill are headed to the Senate.

Students who are unaware of deadly allergies would be at risk if they had a reaction at school.

Schools could qualify for free EpiPens through a program offered by a pharmacy company or get funding from the state.
