Michigan College Tuition Increases 3.45% From Last Year

WASHINGTON (AP) -- College students are paying more money to get a higher education in Michigan.

According to the College Board, the average tuition for public universities in Michigan increased 3.45% from last year.

That's higher than the increase nationwide which is 2.9%.

The College Board says the average cost for an in-state student at a four year public university is about $8,900 a year.
