TCPD Reminds Everyone To Be Cautious After Two Accidents Involving Pedestrians

Posted: Updated:

Two car-pedestrian accidents in two days in Traverse City. Now police are reminding drivers and walkers to be careful.

Tuesday, a woman pulling into the McDonald's parking lot on East Front Street hit a woman.

The woman who was hit had minor injuries and got her own treatment.

That driver received a ticket for not yielding.

Wednesday morning a 13-year-old boy was hit while crossing Munson Avenue.

He had injuries to his upper body and head that are not thought to be life threatening and was taken to Munson Medical Center.

The driver was not at fault for this accident.

Traverse City Police Department says everyone needs to drive, bike, and walk with extra caution especially since days are getting shorter and darker.
