Otsego Co. Police Believe Several Break-In Thefts Are Related

Posted: Updated:

Northern Michigan deputies are working on a few break-in cases they believe are related.

There have been 18 reported break-ins in Otsego County over the past month.

Most of the break-ins are at vacation homes and businesses in Corwith Township.

Investigators say they believe people are working together on these break-ins because they are all in a targeted place. Police say the break-ins happen when people leave for work or for days at a time, so they know when people are coming and going.

Things like power tools, scrap metal, and maintenance supplies were taken. One home had an ATV stolen. Thieves even stole food.

If you have any information about these cases, please contact the Otsego County Sheriff's Department at 989-732-3555.
