Trial Begins For Man Accused Of Shooting At Police In GT Co.

Posted: Updated:

9&10 News has cameras in the courtroom Tuesday as the trial begins for the man accused of shooting at officers in Grand Traverse County.

Back in April, deputies responded to a home in Blair Township where there were reports of some gunshots fired.

Deputies say Richard Radcliffe fired several rounds in their direction.

Bullets also hit the home across the street.

Police fired back, but no one was hurt in the exchange.

Radcliffe was charged with two counts of assault, intentionally firing a gun, and being a felon with a gun.

Today was the first day of the trial that's expected to last most of this week.

Both sides presented their opening arguments to the jury that will decide Radcliffe's fate.
