In honor of breast cancer awareness month, a local high school football team will be sporting pink jerseys tonight.

The event is called "A Crucial Catch".

Boyne City High School's football team will wear the jerseys honoring members of the community who sponsored them.

The jerseys are sponsored by those who had cancer, or were affected by it.

Football players are presenting the jerseys to family members who sponsored them after the game.

Players wearing the jerseys are excited to be a part of the cause.

Cheerleaders will also be selling pink wristbands.

The school is expecting to raise nearly $2,000 for the cause.
