UPDATE: Reward For Information Leading To EMU Football Player Killer

Posted: Updated:

Ypsilanti, Mich. (AP) -- Police are investigating the shooting death of a college football player.

Police say Demarius Reed's body was found by his roommate early Friday morning in an off campus apartment hallway.

Reed was a junior on Eastern Michigan University's football team. In nine games during his last season, Reed made 18 receptions for 171 yards.

A campus and community forum is Tuesday held by police and EMU.

There is a $5,000 reward for information leading to the killer.

Police are also looking for anyone who attended the off-campus party where Reed was found dead Friday morning.

They believe it may have been a robbery.
