Future Fire Marshals Train in Burned Home

It was part of the 67th Michigan State Police Basic Fire Investigating 1 class.

Police and fire fighters from around the world come to Michigan to begin their certification process.

Today was the active on-scene training portion of the fire marshal class.

Groups of students made their way through a burned home north of Evart looking for the source of the fire.

The students had to use what they have learned in the last week and a half of classroom discussion in a real life setting.

Each group being graded on how they come to the source of the fire.
