Government Shutdown Affects EPA Grant Funding for Local Agencies

The Environment Protection Agency is another casualty of the continued government shut down.

the EPA is responsible for a lot of dollars in Northern Michigan - dollars that go towards protecting our natural resources and educating the public about how to do the same.

There are many agencies in Northern Michigan that are seeing delays in getting promised grant money, and it's starting to affect the way people are getting their paychecks.

9&10's Marisa McKay and photojournalist Jeremy Erickson spoke to two local groups who say they're seeing some delays in getting money they were promised.
