Accused Abuser Arrested In Traverse City

Posted: Updated:

Deputies spent two hours searching for an accused abuser, and his victim.

The search started after getting a call that a woman was being beat up in the Walmart parking lot in Traverse City.

After two more 9-1-1 calls, police tracked Alan Olund of East Jordan, and his victim, to the Cherryland Center parking lot.

Police say the victim, a 38-year-old woman from Gaylord, had many cuts on her face.

She had marks on her neck and was covered in blood.

Police arrested Olund.

He's charged with assault by strangulation, and domestic violence - his third offense.

He remains in jail and is scheduled to be back in court later this month.
