CMU Receives Autism Training Grant

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) -- Central Michigan University is getting $500,000 to train professionals how to work with people with autism spectrum disorders.

The one year grant from the Michigan Department of Community Health will be used by psychology professors at CMU.

The aid will help train 33 students in applied behavior analysis.

The practices will help those with autism to improve their social behaviors.
