Bountiful Apple Harvest Celebrated At Charlevoix Apple Festival

Posted: Updated:

The Annual Charlevoix Apple Festival drew large crowds this weekend.

The fest featured all sorts of activities, but the main attraction were apples, of course,  in every form.

Everything from apple cider and caramel apples to fried apple pies were on the menu.

Vendors say it's a great festival this year because apple growers really have something to celebrate, a bountiful crop.

Many see the festival as a great time to stock up on apples for the winter months.

Vendors say fall is the perfect time to start canning and making treats like apple butter or to freeze the fruit for apple pies in the winter.
