Feedback at 5:00: Would Local Businesses Benefit If They Were Open On Sundays?

Posted: Updated:

Monday's Feedback at 5:00:

For many of us, Sundays are a day to rest, move at a slower pace, or prepare for the week ahead.

But in France, some are fighting for Sunday as a day to shop.

Recently, a French court ordered some stores to shut down on Sundays, based on a century old work law.

But 4 out of 5 people in the country want the stores to stay open to boost the economy.

The French government is now slapping businesses that stay open with fines.

A lot of the time on Sundays, you'll find Northern Michigan businesses closed, but that's more based on the owner's discretion.

Do you think local businesses would benefit if they were open on Sundays?

It's tonight's Feedback at 5:00.
