UPDATE: Grand Traverse Crash Kills Fowlerville Man on US-31

We've just learned the name of the man killed while trying to walk across US-31 in Traverse City.

Deputies say Richard Carson of Fowlerville ran into the path of a pick-up truck while crossing at the Four Mile Road intersection in East Bay Township Friday night.

Carson died at the scene.

Sheriffs in Grand Traverse are investigating a deadly crash involving a pedestrian and pickup truck.

A 69-year old man from Fowlerville died crossing US-31 on foot.

Deputies say the man crossed into the path of a westbound pickup truck at the Four Mile Rd. and US-31 intersection in East Bay Township.

It happened around 10:15 p.m. Friday evening.

The pedestrian man died at the scene.
