Traverse City To Hold Surplus Auction

Posted: Updated:

A place to find things you may not find anywhere else, whether you're hunting for treasure or bargains.

Tomorrow, Saturday, October 12 is the Traverse City auction.

The last one was four year ago.

People can bid on equipment from Traverse City municipalities including expired evidence from the police department.

Organizers at the Public Works building on Woodmere expect a big turn out.

They will even have phone lines open to accept long distance and international bids.

Whether you need a new lawn mower, old police car, or a coin collection from the TCPD evidence locker, you'll be able to find it here.

All money made at tomorrow's auction will go into the city's general fund.

Preview of the items starts at 8:00 AM with the live auction at 10:00 AM.
