Feedback at 5:00: Would You Support A MI Tanning Ban For Teens Or Adults?

Posted: Updated:

Friday's Feedback at 5:00:

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, people who begin indoor tanning while they are young have a 59% higher risk of developing the deadliest form of skin cancer: melanoma.

Now, Michigan lawmakers are debating a ban on teen tanning.

Currently, Michigan teens need written permission from parents in order to use tanning facilities.

Parents are also supposed to be there during their sessions.

Six states have banned the use of tanning beds by minors, and several countries have banned them completely.

Would you support a tanning ban for teens, or adults in Michigan? Why or why not?

It's tonight's Feedback at 5:00.
