Drunk Driver Arrested After Driving the Wrong Way on US-31

A quote, "super drunk,"Ludington man is in jail for driving the wrong way on a busy highway and fleeing the scene of an accident.

Just after midnight Tuesday night, police took a call from a driver who had been hit while exiting US-31.

Troopers found the driver that was believed to have caused the accident, near Wayne Road.

The drunk driver then nearly hit a State patrol car head on.

Ludington's Nicholas Lange was arrested and is in the Oceana County Jail.

Lange was arraigned Thursday on charges of operating while intoxicated, failure to report a crash, possession of open intoxicants in a car. 

His bond is set at $5,000.
