Family Thankful Missing Daughter Found Safe and Sound

Amber Smith is safe and sound after wandering away from home and spending around 24 hours lost in the woods.

The 2-year-old was found safe along a two-track, less than two miles from her home on Wednesday.

Amber is recovering at Spectrum Big Rapids Hospital from minor scrapes and cuts. It's not clear when she will be released.

Her parents say they are so happy she is alive and couldn't have asked for more.

Diane and Dale Smith also say they can't wait till she is released so they can reunite her with the entire family.

More than 200 people participated in the search efforts. The family's says they want to thank everyone who helped with the search.

9&10's Breelynn Martin and Photojournalist Jacob Johnson spoke with the family not long after Amber was found.
