Wife Accused of Killing Soldier Husband Out of Jail on Technicality

Posted: Updated:

A major hurdle is keeping one Northern Michigan family from getting justice in the murder of a soldier.

Soldier Vincent Goslyn, Jr. was shot and killed near Ft. Campbell in Kentucky, where he was stationed.

The shooting happened just days after the Cadillac native returned from his second tour in Afghanistan.

Vincent's wife Jessie and another suspect, Jarred Long, are charged with his murder. They were recently let out of jail on a technicality, but do still face charges for the crime.

The problem came from Jessie making a confession without a lawyer present, causing a judge to throw it out.

Vincent's family members are shocked about the recent developments in the case and just want justice.

The prosecutor has appealed the judge's decision, but the process could take a year or more before the case goes to trial.
