Police arrested a man after they say he fired his gun in the basement of his mother's house while he was drunk.

Brian Davis fired the shots around midnight on Wednesday in Kasson Township in Leelanau County.

Davis was arrested, but bonded out if jail the following day, but he's now facing charges of violating that bond by attempting to leave town.

Deputies say Davis made a call to who he thought was BATA Transportation asking for a ride out of town.

Davis had actually called Central Dispatch.

He was taken back to jail and was scheduled to appear before a judge Friday morning to face this additional charge.
