UPDATE: Two Recovering After Oceana Co. Helicopter Crash

UPDATE:

Oceana County Sheriff's arrived at a home in the 7000 block of S. 104 Ave around 5:00 PM where they found a 1962 Brantley 2 seat helicopter. 

Witnesses say the helicopter was just taking off when it could not clear trees.  The helicopter lost lift and landed hard then rolled on its side.  

The blades were still turning hard when police arrived on scene.

The pilot sustained minor injuries including a possible fractured arm. 

The passenger suffered a possible broken shoulder. 

FAA officials are investigating the crash.

Two people are recovering from a helicopter crash.

It happened in Grant Township in Oceana County Thursday afternoon. 
The Sheriffs Department says both the pilot and passenger suffered minor injuries that appear to be non life threatening. 

Right now its not clear what caused the crash.
