One northern Michigan community is remembering a woman who died in a car accident.

Susan Dooley passed away on Sunday after a crash along US 10 near Chase Twp. in Lake County.

Dooley volunteered as part of the support team for the Yates Twp. Fire Department making sure firefighters were fed and taken care of. She worked at the department for more than 15 years.

According to her co-workers, Dooley was well known in her community and well-liked.

Dooley leaves behind three sons, two of which worked at the department as volunteer firefighters.

A fund has been set up to help the Dooley family at Lake-Osceola State Bank. Just contact the bank in Baldwin, MI if you'd like to donate.
