Nine Months Later, Business Destroyed in Fire Reopens

Posted: Updated:

It's a fresh start for one northern Michigan laundromat and dry cleaners.

Nine months ago, Alpine Laundry and Dry Cleaning in Gaylord was completely destroyed in a fire.

Today, they reopened with a new look, and a new name.

The owner of the newly-named Bradford's Cleaners and Coin Laundry says they anticipated it taking at least a year to reopen.

The rebuilt business boasts new state-of-the-art washers and dryers, as well as a drive-thru for dry cleaning.

While they are thrilled to finally be back in business, it's the reaction from long time customers that means the most.

Out of all the businesses effected by the fire, Bradford's is the final business to re-open.

9 & 10's Meredith Barack and photojournalist Tony Zyber visited the rebuilt business.
