Cadillac Hit With Business Break-Ins

Posted: Updated:

Police are asking for the public's help in two overnight crimes in Cadillac.

One business break-in happened at C & E Market early Monday morning.

According to the owner, a man used a hammer to break the front door of the business then stole cigarettes from behind the counter.

He got away with about 20 packs of cigarettes and the damage is about $300.

The man was caught on surveillance video and police hope this will lead to an arrest.

Someone also tried to steal from a Frito-Lay truck parked at the company's staging area, but a driver helped the chase the suspect off.

It's unclear if the crimes are connected.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.

9&10's Breelynn Martin and photojournalist Jeff Blevins gathered details on the case.
