Charlevoix Youth Recovery Program Hosts Open House

Posted: Updated:

An open house in Charlevoix County Friday helped familiarize people with a youth recovery program.

Recovery High offers a substance abuse program for younger people, instead of sending them to inpatient treatment.

It recently moved from Boyne Falls to the old Charlevoix Middle School.

Area courts refer youth to recovery high.

The open house Friday included people from the courts, human services groups, community health groups and foster providers.

It gave everyone a chance to learn about the programs, and about the addiction problems facing youth today.

Recovery High has served people from 47 counties since 1999.
