Detroit Gets New Fleet Of Police Cars and Ambulances

Posted: Updated:

$8 million in donations from Detroit businesses means police in town are getting a fresh set of wheels.

10 top of the line ambulances and 15 decked out police cruisers made their way down Woodward Avenue Thursday.

City officials and business leaders like Roger Penske handed over the keys to the police chief and fire commissioner.

This is the first installment of a new fleet of ambulances for the city, and 100 new police cars.

The first new cars go into commission next week.
