Short's Brewery Supports Hopcat's Grand Opening in East Lansing

Posted: Updated:

A new brewery downstate made quite a splash on its opening day.

And they couldn't have done it without a lot of help from Short's Brewery in Bellaire.

Short's Brewery made sure Hopcat had more than 100 beers on tap for its Grand Opening Thursday in East Lansing.

Hours before Hopcat officially opened its doors, the line to get in was already blocks long.

A lot of the brews on tap were experimental, and had out of the ordinary names like "Bludgeon Yer Eye," and Mister Biscuits.

Short's Brewing Company says it's been a fun event to be part of.

The first 200 guests now get a free order of Hopcat's signature french fries every week for the next year.
