Posted: Updated:

Over 650 Sault Ste. Marie area families have received food assistance from The Salvation Army this year.

The Salvation Army food pantry in Sault Ste. Marie has a severe shortage of food donations through the summer.

The Salvation Army is looking to the local community in Sault Ste. Marie to fill the great need.

Marie says "The Salvation Army continues to be committed to serving the needs of the local community and we are hopeful that the citizens of Sault Ste. Marie will continue their support of The Salvation Army food pantry... We are looking to our community to help us meet our goal of restocking our food pantry this fall. I am certain that Sault Ste. Marie will help us fulfill our commitment to this goal, which will allow us to serve those who depend on us to meet basic human needs."
