MTM On The Road: National Weather Service

Posted: Updated:

Weather is always a hot topic, be it small talk with a new acquaintance or planning your weekend adventures.

When it comes to advisories, watches and warnings the call is made by the National Weather Service.

With more than 120 service stations in the United States and 4 right here in Michigan, meteorologists are able to keep a close eye on what's happening and predict what is to come.

To help the public understand their role in the forecasting business, the station in Gaylord is opening its doors to the public Saturday morning.

The open house is free for everyone and runs from 9 AM to noon.

Our On The Road crew, Eric and Stephanie, got an inside look a couple days early and have more details.
