Montcalm County Police responded to a gunshot in a home in Evergreen Township on Friday, August 16.
The investigation revealed that a husband and wife had been arguing.

There was a small hole in an exterior wall of the home.
The man's mother was standing outside the home at the time of the gun shot. She left immediately.
Deputies shut down Lund Road for about an hour during the investigation and to search for the man.
The man had fled the scene before police arrived, and was found in Ionia shortly after.
The man was arrested for reckless discharge of a firearm and is currently out of a $1,500 bond. He will be arraigned at a later date.
