Montcalm County Child Recovering From Injuries After Falling Out of a Second Story Window

Posted: Updated:

A two-year-old Montcalm County child is recovering from injuries sustained after falling out of a second story window.

The incident happened Saturday afternoon in Stanton, on South Vickeryville Road.

Montcalm County Deputies say the child's mother opened a window to speak to her husband who was outside.

That's when it's believed the child climbed on a chair near the window and pushed the screen out, causing him to fall.

The child landed on the cement.

He was taken to Carson City Hospital, and then to DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids where he is being treated for minor injuries.

The two-year-old is expected to make a full recovery.
