Feedback at 5:00: Should A Paralympic Athlete Be Banned From Competing For Temporary Disability?

Posted: Updated:

Wednesday's Feedback at 5:00:

The International Paralympic Committee is under fire for barring a New Hampshire swimmer from the world championships.

Victoria Arlen had a rare neurological disorder of the spinal cord which caused her to be paralyzed from the waist down.

She spent months in a coma, and came back to swimming when she was 16.

At last year's Paralympics in London, she set a world record and won gold and three silver medals.

The committee says it's because Arlen's disability may not be permanent, and that it is sticking to its rules.

Do you think she should be allowed to compete? It's tonight's "Feedback at 5:00."
