Police have released the name of the woman who died after falling out of a Global Electric Motorcar (GEM) on August 9.

Police say Evelyn Ricci, from Grosse Pointe Farms, was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

GEM cars are held to the same rules and laws as any other motor vehicle.  Michigan law says that GEM car occupants must wear seat belts.
