Monday's Local Sports Coverage (8/12)

Football is back!  As the clock struck midnight on Monday, we were wide awake covering the first football practices of the fall season.  Evart and Reed City make their first workouts of preseason camp midnight mandess with both schools practicing under the lights.  Find out how the Coyotes and Wildcats are preparing for the upcoming season.

Also on Monday, the Beach Bums were back in action wrapping up a series at Wuerfel Park against the Gateway Grizzlies.  T.C. continues to lead the Frontier League East standings and Scott Dunn was brilliant again, improving to 14-0 on the season as the Bums won it 6-4.

We also take a brief look at the Midwest League scoreboard and tell you why Reed City was wearing some odd looking "uniforms" during their first practice of the year.

    Breaking news tonight, 9&10 News learned convicted murderer Eric Knysz tried to hang himself in prison. We have confirmed Knysz is now on life support. Knysz was just sentenced last week to life in prison
    UPDATE: 9 & 10 News has just confirmed that convicted murderer Eric Knysz has been declared brain dead.

    Knysz was on life support after the suicide attempt that took place Monday afternoon.
