MTM On The Road: Betsie River Centennial Lily Farm

Posted: Updated:

Northern Michigan has no shortage of beautiful places to visit. But often times the story behind those places can be equally as beautiful.

When Di Rau Jr. was fighting illness she turned to gardening to help keep her busy.

Today, that small garden has turned into a field featuring more than one thousand varieties of day lilies.

Hundreds of different color combinations create these beautiful and elegant blossoms which only last 'one day.'

In addition to the fields of flowers, Di and her husband Don create recycled artwork including garden bells, statues, bottle trees and glass panels.

Kalin and Stephanie stopped by the farm, outside of Thompsonville to learn more.
