Feedback at 5:00: Obese Boy Scouts Can't Go To National Scouts Jamboree

Posted: Updated:

Thousands of boy scouts and adult leaders are taking part in this year's National Scouts Jamboree.

But, one of the requirements is keeping some scouts from going.

The Boy Scouts of America says it's not safe for children and adults with a body mass index of 40 or higher to participate.

The organization says it offers "thousands" of other summer activities that do not have the requirement.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, children with a BMI of 32 to 39 are considered obese.

What do you think of the policy?

It is tonight's "Feedback at 5:00."
