The girl was assaulted on Thursday at a convenience store in Roscommon.

Since then, investigators released these surveillance photos and are getting a lot of new leads.

With that information they've been able to track the shirt the man was wearing to a student apartment complex in Ann Arbor.

This has allowed them to focus on a person of interest.

Roscommon County deputies say they need help identifying a white male in his late-twenties who sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl at a convenience store in Roscommon.

The sexual assault happened Thursday, July 11th around 6:00 p.m.

The man entered the store behind the girl and her mother, and then assaulted the girl in an isle of the store. He left the store right after.

Police say the video surveillance suggests the man did not go to the convenience store to shop, and he did not buy anything. Police say the video indicated that he entered the convenience store with intent to assault the girl.

Police are looking for a while male, 6 feet tall and with a slender build. He has short cropped dark hair and a dark beard. He was wearing a green shirt with distinctive white writing on the back, flip flops and light colored pants. The shirt had a slogan on the back that said "Get A" and smaller lettering underneath.
