Posted: Updated:

The Coast Guard rescued four people stranded on a boat for more than eight hours.

Two adults and two children were found early this morning in Saginaw Bay.

Just after midnight last night, rescue crews were notified that a 20 foot boat was stranded.

A rescue boat and a helicopter found the boat and towed it to the Saginaw River Station.

There were no injuries.

An alternator and battery failure caused the boat to become disabled.
